She did x-mas trees, ladders that she walked her fingers up, combs, balloons or flowers. Yesterday I acted like cinderella & cleaned all day. Ate all meals at home. Added 72 coke points. Yesterday a local magazine and spa had a free event. There were great deserts, appetizers, coupons and samples. I went alone, sometimes it is nice to be on no schedule. Worked at our csa ( community agriculture share) for the first time today. Two hours and I was wiped out. So out of shape, going back tomorrow. When they were younger, I felt like I always needed to step in the middle of their disagreements because I didn't want my toddler getting hurt by his older brother that was bigger and stronger. But by doing that I was enabling my toddler to depend on me to constantly take up for him and he became a tattler and whinier/crier. I started telling him to work out between the two of them and it worked. They are now 9 and 11 and are very close siblings. I treat you equally in that (for example) I take care of your needs. However, for one of you that means going out to a restaurant once a week for alone time to talk, while for your sister it means using my time to teach her how to quilt---which she loves and you hate. Once they got that concept, a lot of the jealousy stuff feel by the wayside. Spent no money yesterday and received a surprise $10 Cold Stone gift certificate from a co-worker I'd stayed late to help with a project she had due. A good day, money wise! I got my other Mother's Day gift card to Lowes, so now I have a nice little chunk to work on finishing my yard. I'm hoping the rain can hold off...I want to get out and start "planting" bricks. He was a 23 week baby. He has been with me since he came home from the NICU. We have played music, sung to and read to him since day one. We are constantly asking him to tell us what he wants but he justs points or grunts or flaps like a bird. He did test a little high on his Autism sheet at his 2 year check up, but it literally took me 3 months to teach him to say "duck" and that was showing him the ducks everyday outside our door. He uses his "cup" everyday and he knows what it is if you tell him to go and get it but does not know the word. He just does not talk.
